Doutre Christmas and Family pictures 2014

We had a wonderful Christmas with the Doutre's this year! It was a mini reunion as we had Cami there home from her mission. It was great to see her for the first time! We played games, ate really good food, had a Doutube competition, lip sync show down, basketball at the Church gym, gingerbread making, caroling with the neighbors, watched movies, and played Just Dance on the Wii.
We of course acted out the nativity scene and opened gifts that we gave to each other. My favorite part of the nativity was Eden and Becca were playing the role of the inkeepers. Briggs was Joseph and so he knocked on the carboard wall that represented the inn. Eden yelled, "no room!" but Briggs just plowed through that carboard wall and then Eden exclaimed: "Wow, there really IS room!" :)

Austin, Cami, Mom, Dad, and I also got to attend a session at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple on Friday after Christmas. I was able to be at the Open House in 2009 but have never been since. Absolutely beautiful!! We met up with the Davis' that night with Nic's siblings and saw Meet the Mormons and then we went to the T-mobile store and got smartphones! #movingupintheworld

Sadly on Saturday, I got really sick and was bummed about just laying there all day. Our plan was to go to the BYU vs. Gonzaga game that night and even though we lost, I'm glad I went. I tried to hold back my cheers but it's like it was second nature and I couldn't hold it in :)

Monday was our 2nd anniversary! I was still sick so we just made gingerbread houses and then we got to see Alice-Anne's family! They were so nice to let us come (even while I was sick) and eat their yummy food and have FHE with them. I will have to mention that Austin won their monkey-in-the-barrel game. And her kids were so impressed that Spencer enthusiastically expressed: "you really are AWESOME!" (Austin and Awesome-get it?) And it's true, he really is. And Gary was nice to let me and A-A have a nice long chat. Thanks Gary!

It was hard to come back but we enjoyed the time spent with family and look forward to our next little reunion.

Here's some pics from the week. Our cousin took the family pics inside and outside the Church.
